Dr. James Olson, a Mechanical Engineering professor and the Director of the Pulp and Paper Centre, will be speaking at innovate 2014, UBC Engineering & Architecture Dialogues. The evening promises to inspire engagement for industry with sectors ranging from mining to information technology to biomedical engineering to forestry. Engineering and architecture faculty will share their research on the future of mining, bio-fuels, clean energy, computer systems, artificial muscles, forest bio-economy, new materials, clean water, financial investment dynamics reshaping cities, and earthquake engineering.
