Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG)

Available for students taking their M.Eng, M.A.Sc or Ph.D, the Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG) allows students to pursue the application of engineering to improve human health.

What is the difference between selecting the Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG) or Biomedical Engineering from research groups as your specialization?

Both options are under the home department of Mechanical Engineering. Students in the Biomedical Engineering Program will achieve a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Students who select Biomedical Engineering as a specialization will achieve a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  The Biomedical Engineering Program also differs slightly in its required courses.  For information about the program and its courses, please see the Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG) website.

For information about applying to the Biomedical Engineering Program (BMEG) please see our Biomedical Engineering Program Application Page.
