Orientation Information

Before commencing work in Mechanical Engineering Department Laboratories and workshops it is mandatory to complete work safety training. The department provides Safety information plus  links to Health and Safety sites through the  intranet. Our basic safety training requirements include completion of a lab orientation and an online quiz.  Keys, fobs and alarm codes will be authorized only after safety training is completed.  Necessary orientation forms and key requests may be downloaded from the intranet.

You may access safety information, as well as orientation instructions in the intranet under the “Safety” tab.

How to Get Keys, FOBs and Alarm Codes

The key request form can be found on the Intranet under Admin->Forms->Request for Access. Only fully completed forms will be accepted. To find more information talk to your supervisor or the Mechanical Department receptionist located in CEME 2054
