UBC Mechanical Engineering Alumni Networking Event (Fall 2018)

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites you to a special networking event on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. The evening will feature a private tour of three innovative Vancouver medical device organizations, and a networking social with drinks and appetizers.

Evasc is a medical device company focused on novel solutions for the endovascular repair of cerebral aneurysms, to provide a much higher standard of care and rate of successful treatment outcomes than previously possible.

Delfi Medical
Delfi Medical Innovations Inc. is a world leader in personalized tourniquet technology, development and evaluation.  Delfi’s patented products have been designed to meet the needs of general and specialty patient groups, surgeons, operating-room nurses, and pre-hospital medics.

Medical Device Development Centre
The Medical Device Development Centre (MDDC) is a non-profit British Columbia society whose mandate is to advance the collaborative development, evaluation and commercialization of need-oriented medical technology.

If you are not able to attend the tour, we encourage you to still sign up for the social, where you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with graduate students, faculty, and fellow alumni.
