The Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Research Grant was established to provide financial support and promote graduate student research in the field of clean energy at Canadian Universities. Clean energy encompasses energy sources and processes that are an alternative to fossil fuels, with minimizing, neutral or ameliorating consequences on the environment. The objective of the Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Research Grant is to develop research skills and assist in the training of qualified individuals.
The grant is awarded annually, at a value of $10,000. Depending on the caliber and worthiness of applicants and projects, the Foundation will award as many as three $10,000 grants each year. This grant is available to graduate students (PhD and Masters) who are Canadian or permanent residents, with projects within the broad scope of clean and alternative energy. More information on the foundation can be found on their website (www.TylerLewis.ca).
