Undergraduate

Mechanical Engineering is a diverse field that applies physics and mathematics to analyze, design, and maintain mechanical systems. Our fully accredited undergraduate engineering program gives students the foundation and flexibility to go directly into industry or pursue further education in a graduate program. After first year, our students go through an award-winning, fully integrated second year curriculum, MECH 2, designed to help develop the skills needed to succeed both throughout the degree and in their future careers. Students can then decide to focus in one of our three specialization areas–Biomedical, Mechatronics, or Thermofluids Engineering–or go for breadth in the General Mechanical Engineering option and take courses from across the board. Before graduating, our students participate in a 45X Capstone Design Project, working in teams to solve problems for real industry clients.
