Congratulations: Mechanical Engineering Professor Douglas Romily Leads Students to Winning National AUTO21 Contest

A team of UBC engineering students led by Dr. Douglas Romily tied for first place with the University of Toronto in the AUTO21 HQP Poster Competition, among 60 national student teams. Their poster entitled “Injury Prevention Through Adaptive Seat Design” was what won them the $4,000 top prize. Their team included Nima Ziraknejad, an ECE PhD Candidate, Pranay Saxena, an ECE undergraduate, and Anshul Porwal, a MECH undergraduate.
