“There are a number of certification program updates from around the globe. Last September we announced a long-term memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China’s Ministry of Education (MOE). We will work with the MOE to support the National Computer-Aided Technology Certification Project. This partnership should enable more than 20,000 certifications annually through more than 100 colleges in China by 2016.

The University of British Columbia Department of Mechanical Engineering recently held its annual Celebration of Achievement ceremony. The event recognizes the achievements of exceptional mechanical engineering students. This year 12 students (pictured above) who passed the NX™ certification exam were honored. They include Jeffrey Chow, Milton Sai Ho Choy, Jason Hui, Jay Leong, Justin Man Hei Li, Owen Lu, Chris Perttula, Prem Pinto, Aiden Sotres, Yihan Yanglou, Arnold Yeung and Vivian Wong. Alan Steeves, P. Eng., Computer and Electronics Manager, worked with Bob Chalou, former NX educator and PLM World academic chair, to prepare the students.

We’ve have also developed a Solid Edge® Certified Associate program. Certification exams begin this month in Asia Pacific. Stay tuned for more in our next newsletter.”
