Congratulations Graduates of 2014!

The Department of Mechanical Engineering recently held their annual Graduation Reception ceremony, and would like to once again congratulate the graduating class of 2014!

The event was held in Kaiser 1180. It was an opportunity to recognize the achievements of exceptional students graduating from the Mech department. Congratulations to all recipients!

Letson Prizes (The Letson Prizes are given to the Head of the Graduating Class for each Option): Masashi Karasawa (General Mechanical), Evan MacDonald (Biomedical Option), Denise Xiao Wen Wong (Mechatronics Option), and Jay Roderick Hope (Thermofluids Option).

Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering Gold Medal (The CSME Gold Medal is given for outstanding achievement.): Lee Sutton.

APEG Achievement Award (The APEG Achievement Award is given to one graduating student in each Department who shows great promise.): Thomas Curran.

Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Student Leader Award (The Outstanding Student Leader Award recognizes the top undergraduate student and the top graduate student who has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has made outstanding contributions to the Department and Faculty, specifically in the realms of student affairs, design competition teams, professional association student chapters, and other related activities.): Amy Leson.

Philipp Krebs Award for Perseverance (The Philipp Krebs Award celebrates undergraduate students who have demonstrated great perseverance and determination throughout their degree. The award is named after one of our former students, Philipp Krebs, who recognized the importance of education and believed that a motivated person could reach great heights through perseverance.): Randy Joseph Erickson and Anoushka Rajan.

Capstone Design Awards (The Capstone Design Award goes to two teams who excelled in engineering design.):
