MECH First-Year Networking Event

A UBC mechanical engineering alum talks to first-year engineering students.

Are you a first-year UBC Engineering student thinking about studying Mechanical Engineering, but need to learn more? Join us for a special networking event where you’ll get to meet our current students, alumni, and professors and see if Mech is right for you!

If you are considering applying for Mechanical Engineering, now is your chance to have all your questions answered from the perspectives of people who are currently in the program, graduates who are working in industry, and your future instructors. This special event begins with a short panel discussion spotlighting alumni experiences different in sectors, followed by open networking where you can chat with all our alumni, faculty, and senior student guests.

When: Friday, Feb 28, 2025  | 5:30-8 pm

  • 5:30 PM – First-year student and guest sign-in opens
  • 6 – 6:30 PM – “Introducing Mech in Industry” alumni panel
  • 6:30 – 8 PM – Open networking with alumni, current students, and professors
