British Columbia Graduate Scholarship (BCGS) – MASc & PhD
The province of British Columbia has funded graduate scholarships in any field of study, with emphasis on research in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, and support for Indigenous students. (https://www.grad.ubc.ca/awards/british-columbia-graduate-scholarship)
Scholarship Value: $17,500 for one year
Eligibility:
- Must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents
- Must be a full-time registered student in a research-based Mechanical Engineering graduate program throughout Sept 2024 – Aug 2025 academic year
Application components:
- BCGS application form (MS Word, PDF)
- Resume/CV
- Official transcripts for all post-secondary studies outside UBC
- If you’ve submitted them to G+PS to clear your admission condition, we should have the documents in file. In this case, you don’t need to re-submit them. Please send an email to admissions@mech.ubc.ca for confirmation.
- You do not need to submit UBC transcripts
- Two reference letters (Please have your referees send the letters to admissions@mech.ubc.ca directly)
Mech Deadlines for the BC Graduate Scholarship :
- Deadline for complete application (including reference letters): 8AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Please submit applications to admissions@mech.ubc.ca.
