Student Services
Mechanical Engineering Student Services is open and we welcome students to drop by for any quick questions or advice. Make an an appointment with one of our advisors via the APSC PD Portal for longer academic advising and course planning appointments, which can be conducted in-person, via Zoom, or phone. Course registration requests are processed via email at students@mech.ubc.ca.

Machine Shops & Makerspace
Our facilities include a Student Machine Shop, a Makerspace open 24/7, and Support Machine Shop for research and teaching services. Find hours and access information on our Technical Services website and email mshop@mech.ubc.ca with any questions.

Engineering Academic Services
While our Student Services team can help you with MECH-specific details, Engineering Academic Services (EAS) provides advising for wider Engineering topics such as procedures for 2nd year placement, requests for standing deferred exams and late withdrawals, academic standing and probation, transfer credit, and first-year admissions.
