Patrick Michell, LFN Rebuild Director and retired Chief of the Kanaka Bar Indian Band will speak about his experiences developing renewable power projects, planning for climate change, and advocating for his community. This MECH Capstone Guest Lecture is open to members of the UBC community.

Guest speaker Dr. Eric MacDonald will explore multi-process 3D printing for creating structures with consumer-anatomy-specific wearable electronics, electromechanical actuation, electromagnetics, energy storage, propulsion, embedded sensors in soft tooling – in polymers, elastomers, metal and ceramic material systems.

UBC’s Faculty of Applied Science and Seaspan Shipyards are pleased to announce a new faculty chair position with a focus on marine innovation in robotics and autonomy. As UBC's new Seaspan Chair in Robotics for Marine Vessels, Dr. Adrien Desjardins plans to use his expertise in sensing and robotics to develop innovations technologies for underwater environments.
